Deck overview

This is a Rakdos pain/punisher deck helmed by Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls, converting every opponent life-loss event into card advantage and a growing commander. The strategy layers symmetrical draw effects (Howling Mine, Mikokoro, Center of the Sea, Spiteful Visions) with drain payoffs (Underworld Dreams, Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Fate Unraveler) to generate incremental value while Valgavoth draws cards and grows. The primary win condition is the Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond infinite life-loss loop, supported by redundant pieces like Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose. Tutors (Vampiric Tutor, Grim Tutor, Diabolic Intent, Gamble) and rituals (Dark Ritual, Seething Song, Jeska's Will) accelerate the combo assembly. The deck also threatens incremental drain wins via Blood Artist-style triggers, Bolas's Citadel top-decking, and commander damage through repeated hits.
