Deck overview

Chainer, Nightmare Adept turns discarded creatures and self-milled cards into a second hand. The deck uses Entomb, Buried Alive, Faithless Looting, and tutors to place high-impact creatures in the graveyard, then uses fast mana to deploy Chainer, Nightmare Adept and cast those creatures with haste. The strongest pressure package is Purphoros, God of the Forge plus Rionya, Fire Dancer, supported by cheap creatures, rituals, and creatures that refund mana. Death payoffs such as Blood Artist, Mayhem Devil, and Dark Prophecy make sacrifice lines profitable, while Skullclamp and Necropotence improve card flow. The deck can produce explosive turns, but its ordinary plan is not a compact win. It lacks a reliable infinite combo, broad protection, and a deterministic way to deal 40 damage to all three opponents. Its best role is high-powered casual graveyard midrange, not competitive combo.
