Deck overview

This Simic deck is a synergistic +1/+1 counters and card-velocity powerhouse commanded by Pir, Imaginative Rascal and Toothy, Imaginary Friend. The game plan revolves around deploying Pir on Turn 2–3, followed by Toothy on Turn 3–4. With Pir modifying counter placement, every card drawn places two +1/+1 counters on Toothy. The deck exploits this synergy using burst card draw and flicker effects like Essence Flux and Planar Incision, which trigger Toothy's leaves-the-battlefield ability to draw an enormous burst of cards before resetting with double counters. Win conditions include lethal commander damage through unblockable and trample enablers, immediate planeswalker ultimates powered by Doubling Season and Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider, or table-wide life drain via Psychosis Crawler. Low-cost hexproof spells, countermagic, and equipment protect the engine, while Toothy's inherent card refund provides resilient recovery against removal.
