Deck overview

This mono-blue combo-control deck uses Arni, Humble Scribe as a card-filtering engine and combo outlet. Arni untaps whenever another nontoken creature enters the battlefield, turning low-cost bounce creatures, zero-drop artifact creatures, and flicker spells into repeated loot activations. The deck accelerates using mana rocks such as Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, and Sapphire Medallion while generating card advantage through Containment Construct and Dour Port-Mage. The primary win condition pairs Peregrine Drake with Deadeye Navigator to produce infinite mana and infinite creature entries. This loop untaps Arni repeatedly to draw the entire library and win instantly with Laboratory Maniac or Jace, Wielder of Mysteries. Backup lines utilize Hullbreaker Horror bounce loops, Altar of the Brood mill, and Banishing Knack chains. A dense suite of countermagic—featuring Fierce Guardianship and Swan Song—protects critical combo turns while disrupting opposing strategies.
