Deck overview

This Boros deck is an Equipment-focused Voltron strategy commanded by Bruenor Battlehammer. The primary game plan is to deploy cheap Equipment and Dwarf utility creatures in the opening turns, cast Bruenor on Turn 4, and use his free equip trigger to attach high-impact Equipment like Colossus Hammer, Maul of the Skyclaves, or Sword of Vengeance for zero mana. This allows the deck to attack on Turn 5 with lethal single-target commander damage. Support pieces like Reyav, Master Smith provide double strike, while Sram, Senior Edificer, Puresteel Paladin, and Akiri, Fearless Voyager maintain card flow. The deck backs up its aggression with defensive combat taxes from Baird, Steward of Argive and Archon of Absolution, while protecting its main threat with efficient spells like Blacksmith's Skill and Concerted Care. It wins by eliminating opponents sequentially in combat across consecutive turns.
