Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black Aristocrats list commanded by Gollum the Abandoned. It leans into death triggers, token generation, and sacrifice loops to steadily drain all opponents. Gollum functions as both an early graveyard disruption piece and a self-recurring sacrifice body that returns to hand by sacrificing artifacts or other creatures. Supported by classic engine cards such as Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Ashnod's Altar, and Skullclamp, alongside Lord of the Rings flavor inclusions like Mirkwood Bats and The One Ring, the deck operates by turning incremental creature turnover into massive card flow and life loss. While it lacks rapid infinite combos or fast mana to compete at the highest competitive tables, its high redundancy of aristocrat payoffs and resilient recursion allow it to generate strong mid-game inevitability and grind out victories through attrition.
