Deck overview

This deck pairs Yoshimaru, Ever Faithful and Reyhan, Last of the Abzan to execute an aggressive Abzan +1/+1 counters game plan driven by legendary permanents. Yoshimaru provides an immediate Turn 1 presence that grows whenever legendary spells enter the battlefield, while Reyhan ensures counters remain on the battlefield when creatures die. The deck leverages high-synergy counter enhancers like Bristly Bill, Spine Sower, Hardened Scales, and Branching Evolution to scale board power rapidly. Finishers like Sovereign Okinec Ahau and Overwhelming Stampede translate high power into lethal combat damage through evasion granters like Kodama of the West Tree and Abzan Falconer. Asymmetric sweepers including Damning Verdict and Urza's Ruinous Blast clear opposing blockers while preserving your own board state.
