Deck overview

This deck is a five-color midrange strategy built around Leonardo, the Balance and +1/+1 counter synergies. The game plan focuses on generating diverse tokens such as Mutagens, Food, and Clues to reliably trigger Leonardo's ability, distributing +1/+1 counters across your entire creature base each turn. The deck magnifies this counter growth using doublers like Branching Evolution, Corpsejack Menace, and Zimone, Paradox Sculptor. Once a wide, reinforced board is established, the deck transitions into a lethal combat state by activating Leonardo's five-color pump for menace, trample, and lifelink, or by attacking with scaling beaters like Tanazir Quandrix and Leatherhead, Iron Gator. Asymmetric interaction such as Wave Goodbye clears opposing blockers while preserving your counter-laden army. The deck also includes Simic Ascendancy as an alternate win condition.
