Deck overview

This mono-black deck is helmed by Ghoulcaller Gisa and executes a dedicated Zombie tribal strategy integrated with Aristocrats drain mechanics. The primary game plan revolves around deploying low-cost Zombie creatures and utility permanents during the opening turns, establishing Ghoulcaller Gisa on Turn 5, and leveraging her activated ability on Turn 6 to convert high-power creatures into exponential 2/2 Zombie tokens. Once a critical mass of tokens is assembled, the deck pivots into an overwhelming offensive force using anthem lords like Undead Warchief and Death Baron or drains out opponents through Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Ayara, First of Locthwain, and Vengeful Dead. While the deck boasts immense board-building capability and strong recursive resilience, it is vulnerable to well-timed creature removal and sweepers due to a lack of counterspells and haste enablers.
