Deck overview

This Gruul deck helmed by Kibo, Uktabi Prince merges primate tribal beatdown with a disruptive anti-artifact resource denial engine. The strategy revolves around casting Kibo early to give all players Banana tokens, and then exploiting asymmetric artifact destruction spells such as Vandalblast, Meltdown, and Gorilla Shaman to strip opponents of their mana rocks and tokens. Every opposing artifact that dies triggers Kibo's ability, showering +1/+1 counters onto your Apes and Monkeys. Powerful secondary engines like Viridian Revel and Party Dude turn opposing artifact deaths into card advantage, while Bloodroot Apothecary lethally taxes opponents who dare to crack their Bananas or Treasures. The deck finishes games through overwhelming combat damage aided by trample enablers like Kodama of the West Tree and combat buffs like Return of the Wildspeaker. Robust protection spells including Heroic Intervention and Deflecting Swat safeguard the board as you trample opponents out of the game.
