Deck overview

This deck is a thematic Grixis midrange and aggro-recursion build helmed by Marchesa, the Black Rose. It leverages nine copies of Nazgûl alongside a dense package of Lord of the Rings Ring-tempting enablers. Whenever the Ring tempts you, every Wraith you control gains a +1/+1 counter, naturally feeding Marchesa's ability to return dying creatures to the battlefield at the beginning of the next end step. The deck pressures opponents through resilient combat steps featuring evasive Ring-bearers, deathtouch blockers, and overwhelming token generation from Lord of the Nazgûl and Sauron, the Dark Lord. Asymmetric tools like Raise the Palisade and One Ring to Rule Them All clear opposing blockers while preserving your Wraith army. Supported by steady card advantage engines such as Call of the Ring, Rhystic Study, and The One Ring, the deck steadily snowballs board presence into a decisive combat victory around Turn 8.
