Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis discard and attrition engine piloted by Kefka, Court Mage. The strategy accelerates on Turns 1–3 with efficient rocks and rituals, deploying Kefka on Turn 4 to immediately trigger symmetrical discard and card draw. On Turn 5, the deck transitions into critical onset by chaining discard punishers like Waste Not, Liliana's Caress, and Archfiend of Ifnir with mass disruption like Dark Deal, Windfall, or Oppression. As opposing hands are emptied, opponents struggle to maintain tempo under continuous life loss and board control. The deck closes out games around Turn 7 using large Torment of Hailfire casts, Tinybones, Trinket Thief activations, Psychosis Crawler burn, or mass reanimation via Rise of the Dark Realms. Protected by cheap counterspells and free commander interaction like Deflecting Swat, the deck maintains strong resilience against single-target disruption while dominating resource trades.
