Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul typal aggro deck commanded by Muerra, Trash Tactician. It combines low-curve Raccoon creatures with the expend mechanic to generate mana velocity and incidental card flow. Muerra acts as an early mana engine in the first main phase, adding green or red mana for each Raccoon on the battlefield. This surplus mana enables the deck to hit expend 4 and expend 8 thresholds ahead of schedule, churning out tokens, card advantage, and board buffs. The mid-game leverages typal cost-reducers like Urza's Incubator and Herald's Horn to swarm the board. The primary win condition is overwhelming combat damage through overrun effects such as Craterhoof Behemoth, Kindred Charge, and Unnatural Growth. While explosive in creature combat, the list runs limited interaction and board protection, making it vulnerable to well-timed sweepers.
