Deck overview

This deck is a Jund synergy deck focused on -1/-1 counters, blight, and aristocrat drain led by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch. The primary plan revolves around resolving Auntie Ool on Turn 4, then using cards that place -1/-1 counters on your own creatures to draw extra cards every turn cycle. Payoffs such as Nest of Scarabs and Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons convert these counters into substantial token armies, while widespread counter distribution from Carnifex Demon and Soul Snuffers clears opposing boards. The deck creates a must-answer board state by Turn 6 and finishes opponents by Turn 8 through combat damage and direct life drain from Blood Artist and Poison-Tip Archer. Because the list lacks tutors and stack-based protection, it relies heavily on high card velocity and natural engine redundancy to rebuild against opposing removal.
