Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Zombie tribal and aristocrats strategy led by Varina, Lich Queen. It focuses on deploying low-cost Zombies in the opening turns, casting Varina on Turn 4, and attacking immediately to filter through the library, stock the graveyard, and gain life. The deck converts discarded cards into a large 2/2 Zombie army while leveraging powerful tribal lords such as Death Baron and Undead Warchief to dominate combat. Secondary aristocrat pieces like Ayara, First of Locthwain, Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, and The Meathook Massacre drain opponents whenever creatures enter or die. Backup engines like The Scarab God and Grave Titan ensure the deck can win through direct combat or repeated reanimation even if Varina is removed. While susceptible to mass graveyard exile and heavy board wipes, the deck maintains consistent card flow and resilience.
