Deck overview

This deck is commanded by Betor, Ancestor's Voice, an Abzan engine that converts life gained into massive +1/+1 counters and life lost into creature reanimation during each of your end steps. The strategy leverages pay-life enablers such as Greed, Doom Whisperer, Bolas's Citadel, and pain lands to fill the graveyard and immediately cheat large creatures into play. Concurrently, lifelinkers and life-doublers like Rhox Faithmender and The Wind Crystal expand power exponentially. Win conditions center on overwhelming combat damage supported by evasion and counter multipliers, with an incidental infinite drain combo in Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose and Exquisite Blood. The deck balances resilience through graveyard recursion and protective spells like Heroic Intervention and Voice of Victory.
