Competitive EDH Mill by Swibles

Format: Commander

Commander: Phenax, God of Deception

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a dedicated mill deck helmed by Phenax, God of Deception, aiming to empty opponents' libraries through a combination of Phenax's tap-to-mill ability, direct mill spells, and infinite combo lines. The primary plan involves deploying high-toughness creatures (e.g., Consuming Aberration, Fleet Swallower) and tapping them with Phenax to mill en masse. The deck also packs several compact infinite combos-Painter's Servant + Grindstone, Eater of the Dead + Phenax, and Mindcrank + Duskmantle Guildmage-that can win on the spot. A dense tutor suite (Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, Grim Tutor, etc.) ensures consistent access to key pieces, while light interaction and recursion provide backup. The commander is a critical enabler for the primary mill plan and one combo, but the deck can still function without him via the other combos.
