Deck overview

This mono-black deck combines Aristocrats sacrifice engines, Planeswalker control, and compact combo finishes under Liliana, Heretical Healer // Liliana, Defiant Necromancer. The early game focuses on deploying fast mana such as Sol Ring and Dark Ritual, establishing card engines like Necropotence or Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, and flipping Liliana to initiate symmetric discard. Waste Not and Grave Pact turn discard and sacrifice triggers into overwhelming resource disparity, stripping opponents of creatures and cards in hand. The deck converts this board dominance into a swift victory using the compact two-card combo of Professor Onyx and Chain of Smog, draining all three opponents simultaneously for infinite life on Turn 4. Alternatively, redundant Aristocrats lines utilizing Gravecrawler, Phyrexian Altar, and drain outlets like Blood Artist ensure lethal inevitability. While weak to stack interaction, the deck's recursive resilience makes it a formidable, high-velocity engine.
