Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This mono-black aristocrats deck harnesses Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER to convert disposable creatures into card advantage and continuous life drain. The primary game plan revolves around playing recurring creatures, forcing symmetrical sacrifices through edict effects, and triggering death-drain abilities at high volume. Once four creatures die in a single turn, Sephiroth transforms into Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel to grant an emblem that permanently drains opponents on every death trigger, regardless of who controls the creature. The deck closes games through explosive life loss via Bolas's Citadel, massive Gray Merchant of Asphodel devotion swings, or casting Rise of the Dark Realms after filling all graveyards.
