Deck overview

This Jund deck pairs Joel, Resolute Survivor and Ellie, Brick Master to execute an aggressive aristocrats strategy fueled by combat manipulation. Ellie reliably hits the battlefield on Turn 2, generating 1/1 Cordyceps tokens whenever players attack opponents. Joel follows on Turn 4, translating token deaths into +1/+1 counters and steady card advantage across turn cycles. The 99 features dense functional redundancy with over nine drain payoffs including Blood Artist, Bastion of Remembrance, Mirkwood Bats, and Syr Konrad, the Grim, alongside flexible sacrifice outlets like Ashnod's Altar, Goblin Bombardment, and Warren Soultrader. Forced combat tools like Kardur, Doomscourge and Disrupt Decorum weaponize opposing boards while multiplying token generation, and Dictate of Erebos locks down opposing creature development. While the deck lacks stack-based countermagic and dedicated nonland tutors, its robust recursion, dense acceleration, and redundant engines enable it to consistently overwhelm tables with lethal aristocrat drain by Turn 7.
