Commander: Y'shtola, Night's Blessed

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This Esper control deck uses Y'shtola, Night's Blessed to convert high-mana-value noncreature spells into steady burn, lifegain, and card advantage. Your primary game plan slows opposing aggression with defensive permanents like Propaganda and Authority of the Consuls while developing artifact mana and token generators. Midgame plays revolve around triggering Y'shtola with noncreature spells of mana value 3 or greater, draining the table incrementally and drawing cards on end steps. Late-game wins occur through cumulative spell-cast triggers, evasive token swarms buffed by Champions from Beyond, or a high-impact Exsanguinate or kicked Rite of Replication.
