Squirreled Away - Feed the cycle

Format: Commander

Commander: Hazel of the Rootbloom

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Golgari Squirrel-token aristocrats deck helmed by Hazel of the Rootbloom. The plan floods the board with Squirrels and assorted tokens, then converts them into mana, card advantage, and life-drain wins. Hazel acts as a late-game mana battery (tapping tokens for colored mana) and an end-step token doubler that especially rewards Squirrels. Primary wins come from layered drain engines (Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Mirkwood Bats, Nadier's Nightblade) paired with sacrifice outlets, or from overwhelming combat via Craterhoof Behemoth, Finale of Devastation, and Preposterous Proportions. Token doublers (Doubling Season, Parallel Lives, Chatterfang, Squirrel General, Second Harvest) and Food/Treasure engines (Academy Manufactor, Peregrin Took, Nuka-Cola Vending Machine) accelerate both paths. The deck functions as a classic go-wide aristocrats shell that happens to run an excellent Squirrel commander.
