Deck overview

This Esper lifegain control deck is helmed by Oloro, Ageless Ascetic, leveraging his passive command-zone lifegain and card-draw ability to fuel a slow-but-inevitable engine. The primary win conditions are infinite life-drain loops via Sanguine Bond + Bloodthirsty Conqueror or Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, the mill combo of Mindcrank + Duskmantle Guildmage, and big X-spell finishers like Exsanguinate and Torment of Hailfire. Aetherflux Reservoir and Felidar Sovereign serve as alternate paths. The deck controls the table with a dense suite of counterspells, instant-speed removal, and board wipes, while Oloro's incremental advantage ensures it never runs out of gas.
