Deck overview

This deck is a classic five-color Dragon tribal stompy strategy commanded by The Ur-Dragon. The game plan revolves around accelerating mana and reducing costs in the early turns via eminence and dedicated ramp, enabling expensive, high-impact Dragons to enter ahead of curve. Once engine pieces like Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm or Dragon Tempest hit the battlefield around Turn 4, the deck pivots into explosive offensive turns. Dropping massive game-ending threats like Atarka, World Render, Utvara Hellkite, and Old Gnawbone overwhelms opponents with immense flying combat damage, token swarms, and direct damage triggers. The deck protects its board with premium defensive options such as Teferi's Protection and Heroic Intervention, while running asymmetric board clears like Crux of Fate and Cyclonic Rift to bypass opposing defenses and secure a table-wide elimination by Turn 7.
