Deck overview

This Esper commander deck is helmed by Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign and focuses on topdeck manipulation to cheat massive, odd-mana-value threats directly into play. The mana base relies on 2-CMC and 3-CMC mana rocks to cast Yennett on Turn 4, preparing her to attack on Turn 5. Tools like Sensei's Divining Top, Brainstorm, and Aminatou, the Fateshifter ensure that Yennett flips format-warping odd spells, such as Void Winnower, Toxrill, the Corrosive, and Breach the Multiverse. Secondary themes include chaotic minigames and asymmetric disruption through cards like Shared Fate, Psychic Battle, and Exchange of Words. The deck boasts strong on-board removal and formidable late-game value engines. However, it suffers from a lack of countermagic and protective spells, leaving Yennett vulnerable to removal during the turn cycle between her deployment and her first attack.
