Deck overview

Galadriel, Light of Valinor turns each new creature into one of three resources: mana, counters, or card selection. The deck therefore wants cheap mana creatures first, then a steady stream of creatures and token makers. Avenger of Zendikar, Adeline, Resplendent Cathar, Scute Swarm, Rabble Rousing, and Faramir, Steward of Gondor build the battlefield, while Anointed Procession, Parallel Lives, Doubling Season, Mondrak, Glory Dominus, and Ojer Taq, Deepest Foundation multiply the output. Guardian Project, Beast Whisperer, Bennie Bracks, Zoologist, and The Great Henge reduce the risk of running out of cards. The usual closing turn is Craterhoof Behemoth, Moonshaker Cavalry, or Overwhelming Stampede. The deck is powerful in a slower creature-focused pod, but its five- to nine-mana curve, limited tutors, tapped lands, and dependence on a surviving board make it vulnerable to sweepers and faster combo decks.
