Deck overview

This deck is an explosive Gruul turbo-polymorph strategy commanded by Raph & Mikey, Troublemakers. The game plan focuses on accelerating rapidly into seven mana using fast mana rocks, green land ramp, and explosive red rituals. Because the commander possesses trample and native haste, it attacks the turn it enters the battlefield. Its attack trigger reveals cards from the library until it hits a creature, putting that creature directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. To maximize consistency, the creature suite is limited to five game-ending payloads: Blightsteel Colossus, Old Gnawbone, Port Razer, Raphael, Tag Team Tough, and Treasonous Ogre. Hitting Port Razer or Raphael, Tag Team Tough grants immediate additional combat phases, re-triggering the commander to pull additional massive creatures onto the battlefield. Backed by cheap protection spells and redundant extra combat sorceries, the deck frequently overwhelms all three opponents in a single devastating turn cycle.
