Deck overview

This Sultai deck is an engine-driven graveyard midrange strategy helmed by Muldrotha, the Gravetide. The deck accelerates mana in the early turns using ramp creatures and spells, while simultaneously loading its graveyard through powerful mill engines like Mesmeric Orb, Stinkweed Imp, and Stitcher's Supplier. Once Muldrotha enters the battlefield on Turn 5, the graveyard effectively transforms into an extended hand, granting access to lands, creatures, artifacts, and enchantments on each of your turns. The deck exerts control over the board through recurring sacrifice effects with Plaguecrafter and defensive locks with Spore Frog. It transitions to a decisive finish around Turn 6 by resolving a mass reanimation spell like Living Death or tutoring Craterhoof Behemoth to overwhelm the table with a massive trample combat assault on Turn 7. Even without Muldrotha, independent engines like Meren of Clan Nel Toth and The Gitrog Monster keep the deck resilient against board wipes and targeted interaction.
