Deck overview

This deck is an Esper control and cheat strategy commanded by Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign. The primary game plan revolves around manipulating the top card of the library using tools like Sensei's Divining Top, Aminatou, the Fateshifter, and Doom Whisperer to ensure Yennett consistently reveals game-ending odd-mana-value cards. When Yennett attacks, it casts these heavy threats—such as Void Winnower, Expropriate, Toxrill, the Corrosive, Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, and Breach the Multiverse—entirely for free. An efficient early ramp package composed of low-cost mana rocks and rituals accelerates Yennett onto the battlefield by Turn 4. The deck enforces powerful stax-like asymmetric locks through its cheated creatures while defending itself with flexible removal and combat utility. If the commander is disrupted, reanimation spells and an alternate Demonic Consultation plus Laboratory Maniac line provide reliable secondary routes to close out the game.
