Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul typal aggro and big-mana strategy piloted by Muerra, Trash Tactician. The primary game plan revolves around deploying cheap Raccoons and Changelings during early turns to feed Muerra's pre-combat main phase mana ability. This surplus mana regularly triggers the expend 4 and expend 8 mechanics, creating a steady engine of life gain and card advantage. Once a broad board state and sufficient mana are established, the deck transitions into lethal threats using explosive mass pumps like Tribal Unity and Finale of Devastation, or channeling massive mana into direct burn spells such as Banefire and Devil's Play, amplified by Unbound Flourishing. While the deck excels at rapid mana production and creature scaling, it relies heavily on maintaining an active creature board and has limited stack interaction, making timely protection spells critical against opposing board wipes.
