Deck overview

This Orzhov deck leverages Sorin of House Markov // Sorin, Ravenous Neonate at the helm of a potent lifegain and drain engine. In the early turns, it deploys efficient mana rocks and cheap lifegain triggers like Soul Warden to quickly transform Sorin into a planeswalker that provides Food tokens, life-scaled direct damage removal, and creature theft. The midgame is driven by explosive card advantage engines, notably Necrodominance, The One Ring, and Well of Lost Dreams, which turn surplus life into deep card selection. The deck controls the board with low-cost removal such as Swords to Plowshares, Toxic Deluge, and Damn. It closes games decisively through an infinite loop combining Exquisite Blood with drain pieces like Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose or Sanguine Bond, or through massive life-drain bursts using Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Bloodletter of Aclazotz, Exsanguinate, and Debt to the Deathless.
