Deck overview

This deck is a five-color Changeling tribal deck commanded by Reaper King. Because Changelings possess every creature type at all times, every Changeling cast triggers Reaper King's ability to destroy any target permanent. The list takes full advantage of this universal typing by packing specialized tribal payoffs from across Magic's history: Risen Reef and Wirewood Savage convert Changelings into card advantage, Crux of Fate and Realm-Cloaked Giant // Cast Off act as asymmetric one-sided board wipes, and Calamity Bearer doubles the combat damage dealt by all Changeling creatures. The mana base uses budget fixing and three-mana rocks to achieve all five colors reliably by turn 5. Once the commander lands, the deck transitions into a controlling attrition strategy, systematically dismantling opposing mana bases and key permanents before closing the game out through lethal combat swings around turn 9.
