Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered Dimir turbo-midrange list configured around the premier win condition of Thassa's Oracle paired with Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact. While Umbris, Fear Manifest sits in the command zone providing an incidental exile-payoff threat, the 99 is engineered for competitive velocity. Dense 0–1 CMC fast mana like Dark Ritual, Mana Vault, and Chrome Mox accelerates explosive early turns, while powerhouse card engines such as Ad Nauseam, Necropotence, The One Ring, and Rhystic Study provide overwhelming card advantage. The deck protects its win attempts and disrupts opposing strategies with an extensive free counterspell suite including Force of Will, Pact of Negation, and Mental Misstep. Should the primary line be contested, the deck seamlessly transitions into instant-speed wins via Borne Upon a Wind or alternate infinite mill and drain loops using Duskmantle Guildmage and Mindcrank.
