Deck overview

This Golgari deck combines traditional Elf tribal swarm tactics with graveyard recursion and a -1/-1 counter proliferation engine led by High Perfect Morcant. The early turns focus on deploying 1-CMC and 2-CMC mana dorks to cast Morcant ahead of curve on turn 3 or 4. Once assembled, every entering Elf places -1/-1 blight counters on opposing creatures, while Morcant taps three Elves to proliferate those counters and weaken opposing boards. Win conditions branch into three paths: swarming the board with pumped Elf tokens via Elvish Warmaster and Dwynen, Gilt-Leaf Daen, poisoning opponents with Ichor Rats and proliferating to lethal, or mass reanimating the graveyard with a foretold Haunting Voyage to trigger mass blight and drain the table with Skemfar Shadowsage. While resilient against single-target interaction through graveyard recursion, the deck is vulnerable to board sweepers due to a lack of mass protection spells.
