Deck overview

This competitive Commander deck uses Urza, Lord High Artificer to head an explosive artifact-based combo and stax strategy. Urza turns every cheap artifact and token into an untapped blue mana source, accelerating mana velocity and serving as an infinite mana outlet in the command zone. The deck features a Poly-Kraken construction, running only Hullbreaker Horror and Tidespout Tyrant as creature payoffs in the 99. A single Polymorph or Proteus Staff activation targeting Urza's Construct token immediately puts a game-ending creature onto the battlefield. Backed by fast mana rocks, asymmetric stax pieces like Winter Orb and Static Orb that Urza taps down before your untap step, and a dense suite of free countermagic, the deck consistently locks the board or executes infinite mana combos on Turn 3. It finishes games in a single turn by exiling the entire library and bouncing or milling opposing boards.
