Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue spellslinger control strategy centered on Eluge, the Shoreless Sea. Eluge turns lands into Islands with flood counters and provides an escalating cost reduction for the first instant or sorcery cast on each player's turn. The deck accelerates this engine by cloning Eluge with non-legendary copy effects like Spark Double, Quantum Misalignment, and Auton Soldier, multiplying flood counter accumulation and cost reductions. With this massive mana velocity, the deck dominates the table through hyper-efficient reactive countermagic and removal on opponents' turns while digging deep into the library. It reaches critical onset around Turn 6 by resolving high-impact bombs like Enter the Infinite, Expropriate, Time Stretch, or Mnemonic Deluge. The primary route to victory concludes on Turn 7 by drawing the library and winning with Laboratory Maniac, or by overwhelming opponents with lethal combat damage from massive Island-boosted creatures and Shark Typhoon tokens.
