Format: Commander

Commander: Vren, the Relentless

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Vren, the Relentless is a graveyard-denial and rat-tribal commander; the deck is built around exiling opponents' creatures into an ever-growing Rat swarm. There is no hidden commander; Lord Skitter, Sewer King and Triskaidekaphile are secondary engines, and the deck pivots between midrange token beatdown, aristocrat control, and an alternate 13-card hand win. The core plan is to establish Vren, keep the board clear with removal and counterspells, then multiply the token force with Chittering Witch, Piper of the Swarm, and Lord Skitter. Banner of Kinship and Twisted Sewer-Witch turn that wide board into lethal combat damage. The deck has no fast combo, so games normally develop into a controlled Rat swarm that wins in one large attack once threshold and an anthem are online.
