Deck overview

Felothar the Steadfast leads an Abzan toughness-matters combat and defense deck. It deploys high-toughness defenders early to build mana, stabilize the board, and set up card advantage engines. Once Felothar or redundant effect engines enter play, these low-power walls attack and deal lethal combat damage using their toughness. The deck weaponizes one-sided sweepers that punish high-power creatures while leaving your high-toughness board intact. It closes games by overrunning opponents through wide combat swings with combat buffs like Tower Defense, using life-loss triggers such as Jaws of Defeat and Betor, Kin to All, or bursting opponents via Tree of Perdition.
