Infect by Shock

Format: Commander

Commander: Atraxa, Praetors' Voice

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck utilizes Atraxa, Praetors' Voice to pilot an aggressive poison and proliferation strategy. The primary game plan infects each opponent early using low-cost creatures like Glistener Elf and Plague Stinger, or global spells like Prologue to Phyresis and Ichor Rats. Once every opponent carries at least one poison counter, the deck leverages Atraxa alongside continuous proliferation engines like Evolution Sage, Inexorable Tide, and Contagion Engine to tick poison totals up to ten simultaneously. Secondary lines feature token swarms with -1/-1 counter synergies, including the infinite creature death loop between Blowfly Infestation and Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, overwhelming blockers and securing lethal board presence.
