Shilgengar by gadring

Format: Commander

Commander: Shilgengar, Sire of Famine

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Orzhov deck is a drain-combo deck built around Bloodthirsty Conqueror plus Exquisite Blood and any lifegain-to-life-loss effect (Vito or Marauding Blight-Priest). Shilgengar acts as a midgame mass-recursion engine, converting sacrificed creatures or Angels into Blood tokens and then returning a full graveyard to the battlefield; Solemnity can blank finality counters. Token engines, death-payoff creatures, and Krark-Clan Ironworks round out a grindier plan, ending with Exsanguinate or an enormous reanimated board. The commander is useful but not mandatory; the fastest wins come from the Vampire life-drain loop rather than the Demon's reanimation.
