Deck overview

Led by Aerid Konstrari, this deck is a synergistic Gruul midrange engine that merges artifact token generation with explosive combat overruns. The strategy accelerates in the early turns using efficient ramp like Birds of Paradise, Fanatic of Rhonas, and mana rocks to deploy Aerid by Turn 4. Aerid immediately creates Heartwood artifact tokens, providing mana velocity while scaling artifact counts. On Turn 5, the deck transitions into a decisive lethal threat by resolving heavy payoffs such as Craterclaw Colossus, Devastating Onslaught, or Finale of Devastation, granting massive power buffs and trample across the board. Creature cloning effects from Orthion, Hero of Lavabrink and Jaxis, the Troublemaker amplify key threats, while Agatha's Soul Cauldron and Marvin, Murderous Mimic cross-pollinate activated abilities. Backed by protective instants like Heroic Intervention and Veil of Summer, the deck closes out the table through overwhelming combat damage across two response cycles.
