Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Izzet spellslinger and burn strategy commanded by Ghyrson Starn, Kelermorph. Ghyrson's ability turns every source of exactly 1 damage into 3 damage, transforming cheap 1-mana sweepers like End the Festivities and Blazing Volley into one-sided board wipes that also burn each opponent. The deck leverages damage-triggered draw auras like Curiosity and Ophidian Eye to draw massive amounts of cards whenever a pinger or Ghyrson connects, easily refilling the hand and fueling long spell chains. Mana velocity is sustained by rituals and creatures like Storm-Kiln Artist and Vivi Ornitier. Disruptive elements such as Blood Moon, Harbinger of the Seas, and Scalding Viper restrict opposing development while the deck prepares a decisive finish. The game closes either through high-volume burn and storm damage via Grapeshot or through an infinite damage loop combining Niv-Mizzet, Parun with Curiosity.
