Bruse & Ikra Lifelink Drain - Sans Blue by chirgelt

Format: Commander

Commander: Hugo Kupka and Ikra Shidiqi, the Usurper

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This four-color lifegain-drain deck pairs Bruse Tarl, Boorish Herder and Ikra Shidiqi, the Usurper as partner commanders. The primary plan is to gain life through combat - Ikra's toughness-based lifegain, lifelink from Bruse, and other sources - then convert that life into opponent life loss via Sanguine Bond, Defiant Bloodlord, Enduring Tenacity, and Vizkopa Guildmage. The deck also features large beaters like Gisela, Blade of Goldnight and Heartless Hidetsugu to accelerate the clock. It lacks fast infinite combos and relies on incremental value, combat triggers, and drain effects to grind out wins over multiple turns.
