Deck overview

This Grixis deck is commanded by Sauron, the Dark Lord, combining an aggressive Amass token engine with aristocrat sacrifice synergies and heavy control elements. The strategy accelerates into Sauron by Turn 4 to exploit his passive token creation whenever opponents cast spells. Connecting with an Army creature triggers the Ring temptation, enabling Sauron to discard the hand and draw four fresh cards each turn cycle. This massive card velocity fuels lethal aristocrat finishers such as Mirkwood Bats, Mayhem Devil, and The Meathook Massacre, or explosive combat blowouts via Assault on Osgiliath. Backed by a premier suite of free interaction spells, countermagic, and Sauron's oppressive ward ability, the deck dictates game tempo while grinding down opposing life totals.
