Deck overview

This deck leverages Ygra, Eater of All to transform all other creatures on the battlefield into Food artifacts. This type change supercharges artifact-destruction spells like Creeping Corrosion into one-sided board wipes that leave Ygra massive. Continuous drain pieces like Marionette Apprentice and Mirkwood Bats punish opponents whenever any creature or token leaves the battlefield. The deck also features asymmetric stax synergies: Kill Switch keeps all opposing creatures and artifacts tapped permanently, and Karn, the Great Creator shuts down all opposing creature activated abilities. When combat is obstructed, the deck can assemble an infinite drain combo using Chatterfang, Squirrel General and Pitiless Plunderer. Dense green ramp ensures the commander lands ahead of curve, while efficient protection spells defend Ygra from targeted removal.
