Deck overview

This mono-black deck harnesses K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth to convert life totals directly into explosive mana acceleration. By turning black mana pips into Phyrexian life payments, K'rrik allows the deck to deploy powerful draw engines, reanimation spells, and combo finishers well ahead of the normal mana curve. The primary win condition revolves around assembling Aetherflux Reservoir alongside Leshrac's Sigil. With K'rrik on the battlefield, repeatedly casting and bouncing the Sigil costs 8 life per cycle but rapidly nets positive life as the storm count climbs. Once life exceeds 150, Aetherflux Reservoir eliminates all three opponents in a single turn. Backup strategies leverage Bolas's Citadel to storm through the library, Vilis, Broker of Blood to draw massive card volumes, and reanimation lines looping Gray Merchant of Asphodel with Chainer, Dementia Master. The deck offers explosive same-turn lethality, though it relies heavily on maintaining a healthy life buffer and protecting key permanents from instant-speed removal.
