Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Rakdos group slug engine commanded by Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls. The strategy leverages symmetric damage effects that trigger on opponents' turns—such as Roiling Vortex, Razorkin Needlehead, Ankh of Mishra, and Underworld Dreams—to break parity through Valgavoth's ability, drawing 3 extra cards and gaining 3 counters every table rotation. As opponents lose life from ordinary actions like casting spells, drawing cards, and tapping lands, the deck accelerates into game-ending damage doublers like Solphim, Mayhem Dominus and Wound Reflection, or resolves compact combos such as All Will Be One with Ob Nixilis, Captive Kingpin. Robust interaction like Deflecting Swat and Deadly Rollick protects the board while Price of Glory suppresses opposing counterplay.
