Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mono-White Control and Mass Land Destruction strategy piloted by Avacyn, Angel of Hope. The game plan revolves around spending early turns deploying mana rocks and defensive tax pieces such as Thalia, Heretic Cathar and Blind Obedience to blunt early aggression. Once reaching eight mana, the deck casts Avacyn to grant all friendly permanents indestructible. This immediately breaks parity on the deck's extensive suite of board sweepers and mass land destruction spells, including Armageddon, Catastrophe, and Austere Command. Opponents lose their entire mana base or creature presence, while your board remains fully intact. A secondary win condition utilizes Worldslayer to wipe all opposing permanents every turn. Because win execution relies on combat damage from 8/8 and 4/4 flyers, the clock requires several turns to close the game after establishing a lock.
