Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari token swarm and aristocrats strategy led by Hazel of the Rootbloom. The primary game plan creates swarms of Squirrels, Foods, and Treasures, using Hazel to duplicate tokens each end step while tapping them for mana acceleration. In the early game, cheap ramp and enablers like Prosperous Innkeeper and Gilded Goose set up the board. By Turn 4, Hazel lands and begins compounding the token count. Card draw engines like Toski, Bearer of Secrets, Skullclamp, and Idol of Oblivion keep resources flowing. The deck closes games around Turn 5 or 6 using team buffs from Beastmaster Ascension and End-Raze Forerunners, life-drain triggers from Zulaport Cutthroat and Bastion of Remembrance, or the infinite sacrifice loop of Chatterfang, Squirrel General and Pitiless Plunderer. The deck recovers well from removal through redundant token engines but lacks reactive protection against board wipes.
