Gollum, Riddle Master by user1016928

Format: Commander

Commander: Gollum, Riddle Master

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Gollum, Riddle Master leads a mono-black attrition deck that trades creatures and life for card advantage, then finishes with an X-spell or an infinite-life-loss combination. The commander is a flexible value engine: choosing odd or even turns opponents' spells into counters, drain, or cards, and he doubles as sacrifice fodder. The list leans on Cabal Coffers and Bolas's Citadel for explosive mana, while Syr Konrad, the Grim, Blood Artist, and Bastion of Remembrance wear opponents down. The quickest deterministic finish is Bloodthirsty Conqueror plus Vito once any opponent loses life; without it, Exsanguinate or Torment of Hailfire closes after enough Swamps.
